Nobu, Yesbu!

One of my first luxe food experiences in LA was at Nobu in Weho. My husband had just received a promotion so, we went out to celebrate. I had heard good things about Nobu, and it just so happened to be right up the street. Happy Hour, has long been my favorite time of the day, and Nobu has one of the best. From 5:30-8 they have special pricing on cocktails and food. Because of the service alone we ordered tapas, plate-after-plate, even after happy hour was over.

With this night benevolently tucked away in my mind, I could only think of one place to celebrate my husband’s birthday- Nobu (in Malibu this time). Nobu’s Malibu location is just as beautiful as one could imagine; right off the PCH, with breathtaking views of the ocean. Not only was the view amazing, but the food was something I could taste just thinking about it.

What did we eat?

From the Nobu Classic selection:

-Bigeye & Bluefin Toro Tartar

-Black Cod with Miso

From the Nobu Now selection:

-Salmon Sweet Onion Salsa

-Ribeye with Truffle Butter Sauce

We paired the meal with a bottle of Red Wine- Castello di Bossi ‘Chianti Classico’ Italy

Any recommendations?

Yes! My personal favorite and recommendation was the Salmon Sweet Onion Salsa, each piece of salmon literally melted in my mouth and was bursting with a sweet, yet savory flavor.

All in all, Nobu has maintained its spot on my top places to eat in LA.
